Akali Phoola Singh Ji (1761 - 1823)

Akali Phoola Singh was the Jathedar of Akal Takht. It was he who pronounced punishment of whipping Maharaja Ranjit Singh for a transgression on his part. He accepted this willingly. Fighting in the battle of Naushera, Akali Phoola Singh ji laid down his life.
